Meet Tracey Bellion
San Antonio-based Furniture Artist Tracey Bellion is well known for her brilliant and dramatic furniture and room designs that encompass a touch of whimsy. Her “over the top” designs burst with color and infuse multiple mixed patterns not usually seen together. Her sprightly designs play off the unexpected … while producing an elegant, finished look.
Tracey was the leader in creating these gorgeous metallic wood plank walls and similar nursery plank art. She took the boring farmhouse shiplap feature wall and gave it her touch of fancy with fun metallics and distressing. Her wood plank has gone viral and been recreated by many DIYers who love this rustic-glam look.
Tracey is always turning the furniture-painting industry on its side with her unusual pairings, hand-painted fairytale designs and bold color statements. Her popular painted pieces usually incorporate elements of black and white and subtle metallics. She is well known for her whimsical “Mermaid Chair” – an upcycled fabric French provincial painted with a playful, brightly-colored, bikini-clad mermaid.
